Educated at the world-renowned Berklee College of Music, I'm offering private instruction on the guitar for students of any ability, age 8 and up, in the north suburban Boston area.

My lessons combine guitar technique with music theory, encouraging students to learn not only how to play guitar, but how to make music. I believe that learning music theory beyond only the guitar allows students to more quickly understand the instrument, and strengthens their ability to learn and play the guitar.

Beginners: Learn how to get in tune, get rhythm, find your way around the fretboard, and build your technique on the instrument with basic scales and chords. Learn to read music and connect with the guitar.

Intermediate: Expand your fretboard knowledge with additional scale and chord forms. Understand music theory and how to apply that knowledge on the instrument.

Advanced: Learn how to bring new life to old songs. Connect scales and chords in new ways by studying deeper harmonic theory and my own take on the scale modes.
